At end 2010 the first key milestone for many organisation arises with the requirement to create and publish dataset descriptions (metadata) and to provide services to allow potential users to find and view these datasets (network services). Using largely open source and standards-compliant technology, the Compass team will assist through 2010 in letting Irish and European organisations undertake the required works in an expert and efficient manner.
