GeoImaging User Group Conference

Location: Oxford, England
Date: 29-30 September 2008
Compass partners, Infoterra will present a new two day residential conferencethat will enable Irish and UK ERDAS imaging software users to acquire product development updates & refresher training, as well as attend new software demonstrations and industry specific case study presentations.

GIS Ireland 2008

The annual IRLOGI conference will be held again this year in the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin. This annual meeting of the GIS community in Ireland will draw presentations from a wide range of users and topic areas. Watch www.irlogi.ie for news.

This was one a series of Compass seminars which focus on specific products or thematics areas. The June 2008 seminar focussed on a number of end-user case studies using the Cadcorp product suite and was jointly hosted with Cadcorp.

Working with partners I-DRA, Compass now present master classes in the EU INSPIRE and Re-Use of Public Sector Information Directives.

Management of the Riparian Zone in Forested Catchments

Location: Wexford, Ireland
Date: 1-2 March 2007
This technical workshop was hosted by the Western River Basin District Project.  Director, Gearoid Ó Riain, presented on forest and water guidelines in practice - aerial survey methodologies and results. The talk highlighted the Compass GeoFoto aerial camera system along with field GPS and desk-based data analysis and modelling.

EuroNoise2006: The 6th European Conference on Noise Control

Marine Institute, Ireland: Burrishoole Catchment - Past, Present & Future...a kind of 'back to the future' look at salmonid research
