Compass GeoFOTO

For a number of years, Compass have operated an aerial survey system capable of capturing continuous digital images at high resolution (typically 15cm-60cm). Operated off a light aircraft, the system is capable of manoeuvring along corridors such as rivers, coastlines, roadways or pipelines, as well as carrying out block surveys of areas.

Linked to GPS the imagery can be processed so that it can be used within a desktop or web-based Geographic Information System or other image display package. The image can also be classified to draw out particular features such as landuse types, fine in-stream habitat features, areas of erosion.
